Saraya Tavornpanich is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute (NVI). She has a PhD in Epidemiology with the emphasis on infectious diseases from University of California, Davis. Her research is focused on the application of epidemiological tools for supporting cost-effective and risk-based surveillance and control strategies.
Her recent researches include the use of social network analysis in aquaculture, simulation models of disease introduction and spread, and evaluation of complex surveillance systems. She has strong background in quantitative epidemiology, and good records in leading national and international projects.
