Biography

Mari Inada received a Ph.D. degree from Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Agriculture and Engineering, University of Miyazaki in 2013, for the study she conducted on diseases (Vibrio and WSD) and biological defence factors of the kuruma shrimp under the supervision of Prof. Toshiaki Itami.

After receiving the degree, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, where she studied cell surface markers of shrimp under tutelage of Prof.IkuoHirono. Since 2014, she’ve been working at National Research Institute of Aquaculture, studying viral diseases (IMN and OsHV-1) of aquatic invertebrates, including shrimp and oyster.
