Biography

Kitikarn completed DVM and MSc degrees from MahidolUniversity (2008), Thailand and James Cook University (2014), Australia, respectively. She had worked as a lecturer at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Thailand for 7 years before commencing her PhD at James Cook University in 2015.

Her research interests centre on infectious diseases of farmed aquatic species, especially viral diseases of shrimp and crayfish, on the development of molecular methods for their diagnosis, and on the use of RNA interference to combat diseases.
