Khumaira Puspasari is very interested in virus diseases of aquatic animals, especially in the development of molecular-based rapid identification and detection techniques. Khumaira has been working for 12 years in Fish Quarantine and Inspection Standard Examination Laboratory, Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, as a supervisor of DNA sequencing laboratory and analyst of molecular biology laboratory. Before, she was a supervisor of aquatic parasites laboratory.
She obtained her master degree from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University. She has publications on several national journals and has many others of unpublished research papers. As her laboratory is one of national reference laboratory for aquatic animal diseases of quarantine concern, she is looking forward to have collaborative researches under government and private sectors.
