Insariani like her work as a fish pathologist because she could learn more about pathological changes in the target organs of different diseases. Insariani has 7 years’ experience in fish pathology. Insariani obtained her veterinary degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. Now, she works for the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries’s Fish Quarantine and Inspection Examination Standard Laboratory (BUSKI).
In 2011, Insariani and colleagues had research about isolation, identification and characterization of the surface glycoprotein ofMyxobolus koi, the research has been published in jurnal sain veteriner. Insariani also intrested on primary cells from fish. In 2012, Insariani and colleagues developed primary cells from caudal fins and gills of carp, Cyprinuscarpio. Currently, they are characterizating the cells, and are hoping to develop it onto a continue cell line. In 2016, she was an Indonesia National Standard (SNI) conseptor about diagnosis of shrimp virus diseases in histopathology procedures.
